This project is an assignment in which the aim was to create a studio for an artist, I choose Tony Smith an american contemporary artist. The project consists in a studio divided into three spaces; kitchen, studio and bedroom. The concept of this work is inspired in the sculptures done by the artist.

Examples of his work:

Motel Portales Metro Station

Design IV ( Autumm 2009 )Prof. Axel Araño, Frida Escobedo, Miguel Angel Lira, Francisco PardoDesign Team: Eduardo Maurer, Andres Muñoz, Fernanda Quintana, Felipe SanchezUniversidad IberoamericanaBenito Juarez, Mexico City.

The Metro Portales project is a response to an analysis done at this part of the city. This metro station is located in one of the most important streets of Mexico city. The project was based on making a ground connection between two pieces of land including a Motel. The floor plan of the whole concept is an organic form contrasted by a recantangular shape of the Motel. This relation of forms makes an unique space, making visual tension by attracting the user to look at the project. The concept of the project is based on two things, the japanese tatami module and the typical mexican comics.

La Habana Masterplan

Design IV ( Autumm 2009 )Prof. Axel Araño, Frida Escobedo, Miguel Angel Lira, Francisco PardoDesign Team: Eduardo Maurer, Andres Muñoz, Fernanda Quintana, Felipe SanchezUniversidad IberoamericanaLa Habana, Cuba.

This Masterplan was made for the train Station of La Habana, Cuba , the main goal was to design a variety of shapes for the pieces of land where some architectural projects are going to be developed. The concept of the project is based on a diagram responding to the conditions of the space. The diagram on the right corner shows how we propose to distribute the areas. The project consists in 20 pieces of land interconected with a green axis that goes from the train station to the harbour of La Habana.

Design V ( Spring 2010 )Prof. Jose Castillo, Wonne Ickx Universidad IberoamericanaBarcelona, Spain.

The task of this small project was to make a kitchen located in the piece of land of a famous house made by Jose Antonio Coderch, a Spanish architect. This project was just a very conceptual exercise done in one week responding to the achitectural program given by the profesors. My design proposes an opened view kitchen, therefore the structure is on two sides of the kitchen letting one of the corners free. The bar contains the kitchen and also the sitting place.

Design V ( Spring 2010 )Prof. Jose Castillo, Wonne Ickx Design Team: Mauricio Bermudez, Victoria Guinet, Andres Munoz Universidad IberoamericanaOaxaca de Juarez, Mexico.

The design of the hotel is based on the idea of retaking some of the elements or materials of the site and combining with some modern architectural elements such as shapes and proportionsThe concept is to create an open hotel where the users are directly related to the city. The dialogue betweeen the hotel and the his-torical part of the city makes the hotel one of a kind because such project has not been done in the city of Oaxaca. The program of the hotel consists in 80 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a

spa, a pool, retail stores and public spaces.

THIS PIECE OF LAND IS LOCATED IN A REDIDENCIALZONE, NORTH FROM THE SANTO DOMINGO MONASTERY.
