My purpose was to drastically reduce the vomponents on a common chair chair together with its manufacturing and transportation costs.

The consumer, assembling the pieces without the support of any tool has an active role in the realization process and is guided in the understanding of the physical principles behind this design.

Tight me is a chair, but its concept easily applies to different furniture tipologies. In my idea coupling wood and rods may provide new perspectives in the design system.

Applying tensile structures in furni-ture design opens new sustainability scenarios and formal possibilities.

Aimed at the Cristalplant Design Contest,”Sottotitolo” is a multifun-cional forniture product.

The structure consists of a strip of Cristalplant turning on itself ,ironically creating the word TABLE.

The shape creates gaps exploited well to arrange magazines and electronic devices, bringing back the order in the living room or bedroom.

Inside the letters A and B is located a further wooden container that can be conveniently used as an additional seat making “Sottotitolo” becoming a multipurpose piece of forniture.

SOTTOTITOLO:Cristalplant design Contest

I’ve done this work during the collaboration with the studio Sinapsy Design.

We goal of the project was to involve the visitors to know the caratteristic and the qualities of the Illy coffe with an installation inside the shops galleries.

Packaging is the simbol of Illy brand, here this simbol it’s becoming bigger, taking it in an unusual scale from pack to architecture.

This tipology of intervention is justi-fied by the cilindric form that allow people going inside and discover the 3d screen, satisfing the visibility of the brend wanted by the customer.

The project evolved in the develop-ment of two distinct but complemen-tary products: “MAXI-JAR” and “Desk moultitouch”.

Illy MAXI JAR:Sinapsy Design

Designed for the D-Exposinergy prize contest dedicated to the reception for the visitors of the great fairs, exhibitions, cultural and sporting activities, asked to design products and solutions for every visitor, in order to improve the enjoyment of the event and discover the city.

At the entrance of the event is distributed the sheet already folded in a “bag form”.The socket is ensured by the hole in the cardboard and acts as a structural closure for the bag (caliper holding the folded sheets to-gether); the outer side can be used as institutional communication of the event.

Opening the outer flaps i can read the printed information such as a map of the event, entertainment and all the data relevant to the enjoyment of the event and the city tour.Opening it again i get a wide surface for sitting without being in contact with the dirt pavement.

“S/PIEGAMI” loves the environment: it is made from a recycled sheet of cardboard the size of 100x100 cm, only simple productive process like the cut of the handle and the press make it a low impact product.

These qualities make it economical for those who produce it, useful for those who use it, and light for the planet.

Aimed at the Cristalplant Design Contest, PONENTE is a table / desk for retail purposes.

The form is born from the desire to exploit the expressive potential and the structural quality of the material.

The bent playwood leg fits like a pros-thesis within the body, like the mast of a boat that holds a powerd sail.

A chair in which the backrest extends on one side and serves as an armrest support.This solution allow the use of the chair with the armrest on the left, right, or in the center.

The shell is formed from a single sheet of bent wood and mounted on a supporting structure.

Bringing the two chairs you can get a sofa / bench suitable for two people.

The result is a modular element with which to create various arrangements of furniture suitable for both residential and contract situations.

MIDO Chair:Promosedia Contest 2012

Reseat is a competition created by the collaboration of the University of turin and the FIAT research center.The goal was to create a thin seat to save space inside the vehicle while minimizing external dimensions.

Hence the idea of a seat can be used in both directions, so you can create a friendly space during breaks.

The structure consists of a steel tube which is clamped in a Polytech micro-perforated canvas which offers support to the body allowing it perspiration.

The beans in E.V.A. ensure contain-ment during cornering and provide protection during impacts at a back-end ensures the correct body position.
