Noteworthy Cards Offered At Harvest Fest

Hudson Valley Landmarks In October students started to create artwork with Hudson Valley Themes, includ-

ing “Kingston Lighthouse” and the “Walkway Over the Hudson.”

The complex structures of these area landmarks were created by painting pieces of

paper with tempera paint. Each landmark was broken down into its simplest shapes

(squares, rectangles, triangles, etc.). Students used templates to trace and cutout the

shapes that create the final structure.

These two designs will be used as possible upcoming Noteworthy Card designs.

Artist Birthdays for November November 14 — Claude Monet (1840)

November 15 — Georgia O’Keeffe (1887)

November 26 — Charles Schulz (1922)

November 28 — William Blake (1757)

Our Noteworthy Cards were once again on display at the

Anderson Center Harvest Festival and Open House (Oct.

19). We were excited to finally let family, community, and staff

members see our new card designs (Wildlife and Insects). I am

happy to say that they were very well received!
