IDL, Eckberg worked as a biological technician with the US Forest Service-Forest Health Protection in Coeur d’Alene from 2004 - 2007. Before moving to Idaho with his wife, Nina, he was employed as a research entomolo-gist for TruGreen in the Atlanta area from 1994-2002, developing insect and disease management programs for woody ornamentals. Eckberg has a master’s degree in entomology from Colorado State University and has been an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist since 1996.

Erika Eidson received her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota with a double major in Geography and Environmental Science, Policy and Management. During her undergraduate education, she worked in a tree-ring research laboratory and conducted experiments that used tree rings to look at past forest dis-turbances. Following graduation, Eidson worked for the Colorado State Forest Service doing Forest Inventory and Analysis. She later spent two years as an arborist diagnos-ing sick trees and performing hazard analysis for the City of Aurora, Colorado. During her time there, the Emerald Ash Borer was discovered in Colorado for the first time. Returning to school in 2015, she pursued a master’s degree in Forestry at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Her thesis work focused on bark beetles and tree resistance. Since June, 2017, Eidson works as a Forest Health Specialist for the Idaho Department of Lands where she advises landowners and forest managers on insect and dis-ease issues, conducts insect and disease trainings, performs public outreach and education, and coordinatse insect pop-ulation monitoring surveys.

William “Bill” Kreuser, PhD is an assistant pro-fessor in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also serves as the state’s Extension Turfgrass Specialist with a focus on soil and water management. Kreuser joined UNL in January of 2014 after receiving his Ph.D. at Cornell University, where he studied turfgrass physiology. Kreuser is a native of Wisconsin and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Soil Science with a Turf and Grounds Management Specialization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His master’s work focused on putting green nutrient requirements and plant growth regulator degradation. Kreuser’s current studies include pigments and shade tolerance, iron layer formation in USGA putting greens, and winter desiccation physiology and prevention. Forest Health Program Manager. Our Speakers Include: Dan Dinelli, CGCS, is the superintendent and man-ager of one of the best-known living laboratories in the country at North Shore Country Club, Glenview, Ill. A third-generation superintendent, Dinelli received the 2009 GCSAA President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship, as well as numerous additional environmental stewardship awards. He has assisted with the production of environmen-tal programming on the Golf Channel and is a regular pre-senter at conferences. Dinelli is also a registered falconer and successfully reintroduced the Peregrine Falcon to the Chicago area. Dinelli breeds red-tailed hawks, donating them for educational programs at Disney World's Wild Animal Park, Dollywood, Six Flags Over Texas, the Minnesota Zoo, a Birds of Prey show in Wisconsin and an exhibit in Germany. Dinelli holds two associate degrees from William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Ill. - one in park and grounds management and one in horticulture - as well as a two-year turfgrass management certificate from Michigan State University. He earned his Master Gardener designation from the University of Illinois and he has achieved Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program certification for North Shore.

Tom Eckberg started working for the Idaho Department of Lands as a Forest Health Specialist in December 2007, coordinating insect surveys and providing technical assistance and training to forest landowners and managers statewide. As of December 2016, he became
