The Johnstown Estate offers a sophisticated

We are independently owned and in lots of

little ways, we like to think this shows. Our

team has invested a lot of time and love in

restoring The Johnstown Estate back to its

original glory, and beyond.

Relaxed Elegance

We have so many beautiful spaces at

The Johnstown Estate we can look after

everything from an intimate dinner, to a

huge wedding extravaganza.

You simply select where: a civil ceremony in

either the Grand Ballroom or our authentic

walled garden; a champagne or cocktail

reception on the lawn or a festival-themed

event in the gardens.

For your day, the Grand Ballroom and its

private reception area and additional bars

are - exclusively - all yours.

And, the food is, of course, paramount.

Our culinary team take constant pride

in delivering flavorsome, spectacularly

presented food - whether a bespoke wedding

selection or one of our thoughtfully curated

wedding menus.

Our location, while so close to Dublin, is a

rural idyll. The combination of The Estate’s

120 acres of woodland and greenery, the

Georgian grandeur of Colonel Francis

Forde’s 18th century manor, and the

timeless aesthetic of the interiors makes The

Johnstown Estate truly Instafabulous.

From the aged walls of the gardens, the

quirky pagoda, the mystery of the forest, or

the wedding swing hanging from a Great

Oak - all you need is your wedding party, a

photographer and, on grand, soft Irish days,

a pair of our stylish Dubarry boots.

Nature, Nurtured

This utterly luxurious suite may be a cause

of grave temptation. While you won’t want

to miss a moment of your wedding, you

may be tempted to momentarily steal away,

through your private manor entrance to this

secluded, and regal, three-room suite.

The Lady Margaret spans the front of the

manor’s first floor and includes a roll-top

tub, a walk-in shower, and a bedroom in

hues of taupe and blue, in textures of velvet

and leather with the softest carpet your toes

could imagine. The sophisticated living

room is the perfect distillation of indulgence

and relaxation.

This will be your celebration of a lifetime, so

why restrict it to one day?

Our character-filled manor reception

rooms - The Burgundy, The Willow and

The Rose - are perfect for intimate pre-

wedding dinners and groups of family and

friends. Larger post-wedding soirées may

include cocktails and dinner in the Loft

and Sutherland Suite or a BBQ in the

courtyard.

For absolute pre-wedding indulgence the

Bride Squad will adore our one-of-a-kind

Mulberry Suite. The room can sleep up to

8 when paired with adjoining rooms and

offers bespoke make-up and hair stations, a

luxurious seating area with bar and a large

double bathroom.

Weddings present so many opportunities to

celebrate - both before and after the big day -

so let the celebrations continue.

Savour the Fun

We’re a resort hotel which means that

everything you and your guests might

possibly need is on The Estate. We have

127 bedrooms and 40 two-bed lodges, so

that each of your guests may be part of the

wedding ‘til the final goodbyes.

The next day, after a delicious breakfast,

guests may choose to snooze some more;

explore the Estate’s lands; relax in our 18-

room, Flagship Elemis Spa, or our Leisure

Centre with its steam-room, sauna and

outdoor Canadian Hot-tub, or perhaps
