VanCraft, LLC is based in Oceanside, CA and specializes in campervan conversion builds and rentals using the reliable (2004-2006) T1N Dodge/Freightliner/Mercedes Sprinter chassis. We offer our campervan build in two different variations, the short wheelbase (SWB) and the long wheelbase (LWB).

The build process: All of the work is done at our headquarters, in Oceanside, CA. Our conversion process begins with a gut job of the Sprinters weonboard. Once gutted, we have the ability to do a full assessment of the vehicle's condition and then begin a full automotive service andpreventative maintenance sweep to ensure our vans are in good mechanical shape before moving on to the next step. As soon as the van passes themechanical inspection, we begin the automotive reconditioning process. We take great pleasure in restoring these (often) mistreated T1N Sprinter,fleet vehicles, back to their former glory. Once the drive-train and chassis have been signed-off on, we begin our proprietary campervan buildprocess. Our final product has been refined over 3 years and takes our full-time build team about 3 weeks to complete, but we can assure you it'sworth the wait. From the hand stained wood (that takes a week to fully complete) to the fully functional kitchen, to the plush memory foam bed,VanCraft delivers a "no-compromise" campervan at a price point that is unmatched.

Difference between the long wheelbase and short wheelbase: The long wheelbase (LWB) is a little more than 3 feet longer than the shortwheelbase (SWB). This additional space gives you an L-shaped bench seat, which offers seating for up to 4 and can sleep one additional full sizeadult (up to 6ft) comfortably. The LWB offers a 12in wide floor-to-ceiling pull-out pantry, end-table for additional storage, and a removable table forworking/eating. Our LWB has seating (and seatbelts) for 6 and our SWB has seating (and seatbelts) for 4. Both variations will fit in a normal parkingspace; however, the SWB is slightly easier to drive and park.

When Mercedes first brought the T1N Sprinter to the United States, they did not have a robust commercial vehicle distribution network; therefore,they branded the Sprinter vans as Dodge or Freightliner in order to distribute them through their Dodge/Freightliner commercial truck network. TheSprinter vans were manufactured by Mercedes in Germany and shipped over to the U.S. for distribution. We give all of our vans a completeMercedes Benz "facelift"; however, almost all of our vans are classified as a Dodge or Freightliner on the vehicle title. The vehicle's components(engine, drivetrain, suspension, etc...) are all Mercedes Benz.

VanCraft, LLC offers a 90-day "no questions asked" full coverage warrantyon the full campervan conversion. Our vans receive thorough inspections,service, and reconditioning; however, given the used nature of the vans,VanCraft, LLC sells the van chassis "as-is" and does not offer any kind ofwarranty on the van itself.

*VANCRAFT is not a car dealer and therefore does not collect tax on the vehicle sale or DMV registration fees. Tax is included on our purchase orderfor the conversion costs. We separate the sale of the van and conversion for accounting purposes. The deposit amount to hold a van is 30% of theinvoice total. The remaining balance will be due on or before the date of pickup. At registration you will pay the DMV registration fees and tax on thesale of the van.
