TRANSCRIPT

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an

hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in

their foreheads . . . And they sung as it were a new song before the

throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could

learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth . . . Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments

of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 14:1, 3, 12 (KJV)

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount

Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name

written on their foreheads . . . And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the

144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth . . . This calls for

patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his

commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

Revelation 14:1, 3, 12 (NIV)

BOOK OF LIFE

DIGGING DEEPER

WORD STUDY

Revelation 13:8Revelation 17:8Revelation 3:5

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the book of life of the Lamb, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 13:8

Revelation 17:8

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the book of life of the Lamb, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 13:8

Revelation 17:8

slain = sfazw

sfazw “sfazo”

This connects with Rev 5 and Christ being the Lamb slain who could open

the scroll

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:5

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:5

Blot = ecaleifw

ecaleifw “eksalafo”

This connects with Rev 7 & Rev 21 where Christ “wipes away” (BLOTS)

out the tears

Put all the pieces together:

1) Revelation is about Jesus (REV 1:1-2);(telling us something important God that needs to be cleared up by a TRUE and FAITHFUL martyr)

2) Only the Lamb murdered can reveal (open) the scroll from God (REV 5:7);(something about Christ slaughtered tells us something God on His throne could not)

3) The Lamb and the Book are “DONE” from the very beginning (REV 13:8, 17:8);(the same unique phraseology is used for both)

4) The Book of Life plays a huge part in telling the story about God;(6/10 references are in Revelation)

5) There is a blotting for everyone;(either your name is blotted out or your tears—your choice)

JournalingThese chapters show a dichotomy between

Good and Evil in very stark terms. There is a false trinity created and aligning itself against the Trinity. The false is counter-point of the True. Counterfeit sealing (mark) and as a result counterfeit followers.

Create a table with as many comparisons as you can find.
