The Stars won a 5-1 game in Dallas in the first meeting and then a 7-3 game at the Saddledome and boast a three-game winning streak versus the Flames. The Calgary club has won just one of the last five meetings in Big D. PUSHED BY PEVERLEY Forward Rich Peverley, who collapsed on the bench during Monday’s game and had to be resuscitated, won’t play again this season. The team managed to regroup the next night and earn a big win over the St. Louis Blues. They’ll be trying to use their comrade’s status as motivation for the rest of the year. OVERCOMING LOSS OF LEHTONEN Adding goalie Tim Thomas at the trade deadline gives the team a vet to back up Kari Lehtonen. But when Lehtonen suffered a concussion after a collision with Minnesota Wild’s Erik Haula, Thomas had to step into the breach. The good news for the Dallas club is Lehtonen could be back soon.
