Proctor Creek is one of the most environmentally impaired creeks in metro Atlanta. This community is seeking to restore
its vitality and stability by participating in much needed community cleanups.
Our programs strengthens communities; augmenting existing skills with new skills that could move participants into emerging green job markets. Our environment and significant public health improvements will occur by the removal of trash and remediation of toxic substances. Property values and the pride of our residents increase due to the restoration of the neighborhood by the residents!
The Headwaters of Proctor Creek start in the communities of English Avenue and Vine City
Persistent and pervasive poverty still limits many individuals to protect themselves from blight, illegal dumping, excessive trash accumulation and the inequitable sighting of industrial and other pollution sources.
