The competitors were expected to be or at least look youthful They also had to be able to speak Greek Athletes had to vow to Zeus (A Greek God) that they had completed 10 months training before entering. The competitors were called heroes.

HOW AND WHERE OLYMPICS GAMES THE STARTED AND ENDED!• The Ancient Greek Olympics started nearly 3000 years ago.• The event happened every 4 years for over 1000 years.• The Olympics were held in Olympia and was called the Olympics.• The Olympics were held in Olympia because the gods of Greece lived

on Mount Olympus. • The King said that it should be held there and should be named after

the place where it was held. • The Ancient Greek Olympics ended 393 AD.
