My Civilization: Ancient Greece

The Research Journey:My favorite part of the research journey was writing the questions because it was the easiest part. My best research question was about Beliefs & Religion because I got lot of information about that topic.While doing my research, I found it difficult to find information about legacies because most books only wrote about democracy as a legacy. The most interesting thing I learned about the structure of society was that each city has its own coin. I think that democracy is an important legacy of ancient Greece because many countries still use democracy as a system of government.

Report WritingI am proud of my report because I put lots of information in it.While writing the report, I became better at writing supporting sentences. If I wrote it again, I would improve my report by trying to put even more in information in it.

Archeology PresentationI enjoyed making my artifacts because I liked the painting them. I found it difficult to draw the owl on my coin, though. I am most proud of my coin artifact because I think I did a good job painting it silver.I enjoyed the archeology presentation but I found it difficult to bury the papyrus. While preparing for this presentation, I became better at using eye contact.

What else?During this unit I especially enjoyed writing the report because it was challenging for me. I took extra time to research about Legacies of Ancient Greece so I could find the right information. After this unit, I might continue to learn about Ancient Greece because it’s a really interesting civilization. =
