1. How to Use AnaplanModel ?

The following steps details out the navigation flow:

Step 1: Open your internet browser and enter Website address as https://www.anaplan.com.

Clickon Login Button. The screen that will appear will be as follows:

Enter your employee email id and password and press Log In button

Step 2: Now you will be taken to the USL workspace. You shall see a screen showing the USL Anaplan Models given below. Click on the USL Planning Model icon.

Step3: Now You will see your login id in the right most corner and the home tab in the left. All the screens for which you are given access shall be displayed on the left pane.

You can select the modules one at a time to view it in detail.

2. How toprepare the Data into Anaplan?Creation of upload Format:

Step 1: When you open the content tab, select the module for which you want to upload the data.

Once you click the SAP Upload Report the following screen will open.

Step 2: In the below screenshot, let’s assume data is getting uploaded in the above module for Quantity Line item. Hence prepare the Data for Upload which is explained below in detail.

Step 3: As you open a required module on the left corner click on the small blue arrow mark and select on Data >Export.

Step 4: Select CSV format on layout tab and check in Omit Summary items and Include Empty Rows.

Step 5: Click on the Label tab and select code in the dropdown list.

Step 6: Once the options are selected, click on Run Export and the data will be downloaded into your Desktop. Prepare the data upload based on the format you have downloaded.

Step 7: Once the data is keyed into Quantity column for corresponding code, save the file in CSV format and you can upload back to Anaplan.

How to upload Data for Anaplan?

Click on a particular module for which you want to upload the data and follow the below steps.

Step 1 :Click on Data>Import for uploading data into Anaplan.

Step 2: If the upload is from the new file or Anaplan Model, based on the source, file can be selected.

Step 3: Once the File is selected, then contents are visible in the multiline based on the data format select the Header row in the file options.

Click on Next.

Step 4: Based on the CSV data format, corresponding mapping is done.

All the columns in the CSV data file should be mapped to corresponding dimension in Anaplan module.

Step 5: Time tab is selected according to Time format.

Step 6: Version Tab is selected and the Version type is selected.

Step 7: Line Item Tab is selected and the corresponding Line item is selected.

After the mapping, Click on the Run Import. The data will be imported for the module.

Step 8: As the upload is complete now, there will becase where new keys will be generated which is not present in Anaplan. Below will be the screenshot which will show those keys. Just download those by clicking save failure logs.

Creation of New Keys in Anaplan Master:

The above keys which are not present in Anaplan can be found out in the Masters Functional area in Content page and can go and upload by creating the necessary fields. The mapping for the Import is same as explained above.

3. How to check the data?

When you upload the data into the module. Finally the total value can be compared by scrolling it to the end.
