MANUFACTURING OF ISOTOPE PRODUCTS

Gas-centrifuge technolo-gy allows to manufacture products with high level of enrichment and chemical purity. The full production cycle is implemented at ECP to manufacture isotope products: from working gas manufacturing and enrichment of isotopes in the gas centrifuge cascades to manufactur-ing commercial isotopes demanded by the customer.In addition to manufac-turing stable isotopes SC “PA ECP” has vast experience of manufac-turing radioactive isotopes, such as C-14, Kr-85, Fe-55.

SC “PA “Electrochemical Plant” is one of the enterprises of the Fuel Company “TVEL” enrichment-sublimation complex.Its main type of product is low-enriched (in 235U isotope) uranium used for production of NPP fuel. Almost one third of ROSATOM enrichment capabilities is concentrated at ECP. Gas-centrifuge technology used to enrich uranium allows to produce isotopes of other elements.The enterprise owns technologies to produce 106 stable isotopes of 20 chemical elements. Its production volume amounts to hundreds of kilograms per year which makes up more than 1/3 of the global market.
