This is similar to the first music magazine as both of the people in the main image are looking directly at the audience, giving an intimidating feel and also involving the reader. However, on the cover, the main image overlaps the masthead so it slightly covers the ‘M’ and the ‘E’, to give more focus to the main image. On the first cover, the masthead takes ownership and covers part of the main image, supposedly to give the masthead more notice. The colour is scheme deliberate: red and white, to match the masthead and the writing along the top. You could associate the colour red with either love or anger, just as you could interpret the colour white with peace or innocence, which are a direct contrast with each other.
