This video follows the conventions of relation to visual of the song. The lyrics follow the narrative in the video. As you can see in this screen shot, Alex is high so in the mirror his image is been reflected but they use special effects so his head is faded. This video is amplified as the meaning and effects are manipulated and constantly shown through the music video.

Celebrities have to maintain there appearance. She maintains a glamourous and sexy. Beyoncé appeals to both male and female audiences. She has to keep up to her image as her fans/audience look up to her.

Where as indie bands, they have a laid back image. There were smart casual clothing, Most indie artists dress like the “mod image”. They follow typical stereotype such as wearing parker coats, long hair and scooters. Which is inspired by the 1960’s style. Bands such as Oasis and Arctic monkeys and other artists such as Paul Weller follow this dress code.

Star image is another vital aspect of music videos if singers don’t look good and they don’t match their target audience then they won’t have any fans and they will lose money.
