The use of the scars are a clear representation of domestic violence , which is the objective of the poster

The use of a Disney character is extremely effective as it shows that it can happen to anyone and makes people consider that situation

The use of the basic coloured background is effective as it makes us focus on the woman and our eyes do not wonder

The use of someone we normally consider to have a positive quotation may shock the audience as they are not used to seeing this character in this way The use of white

text creates a sense of hope but also loss and emptiness which the character may be feeling at this point

The choice of words is very effective is it relates to the photo but also makes us question our self which a poster of this amount of controversy should do

Anchor is used to keep the image on topic and is an awareness campaign http://www.sainthoax.com/happyneverafter

Her scars are telling us that she was abused by a lover and this is backed up by the tagline

The smaller text is used to present a meaning to the poster so that it has a effect

The use of these words create a sense of realism as we hear these words every day and them being associated with bullets make us think twice about saying them

The use of the gun in this poster is very key as it is telling us that words can kill like a gun could which will surprise audiences as it is very dramatic and also gun crime is a serious issue and this poster is telling us that bullying is as serious as gun crime as it can make people kill themselves and such things

The use of this nursery rhyme is shocking as we generally associate this rhyme with being a life lesson, but this poster turns that idea upside down by calling it false

The poster is backing up its point about guns by saying that words can ‘destroy people’ like a gun, which will resonate in the readers mind

The colour red in this sign also may signify death as well as leading the readers eye towards the word stop

The tyre tracks are telling us he has been in a accident and is the first thing the eye is attracted to in the image

His eyes are pointing directly at the camera which may make people feel uncomfortable and feeling as if they are being judged which may make people think twice about jaywalking

This man looks very average and seems as if he could be anyone, this is also shown by his clothing which is overall telling us that this could even happen to us

The use of indirect language is showing us that the poster is confident in its message and wants to allow the reader to think about the poster and doesn't just tell us what to think

The use of the white background allows us to be primarily focused on the writing and the man on the poster which is what the creator(s) may have wantedThis is the most

key statement in the poster and is very blunt and hard hitting and does not play with words or such things

Anchor is giving the poster meaning

These tyre marks are telling us that he has been run over by a car while not being vigilant of the road

This anchor of The Royal British Legion (http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/) is used to keep the poster on topic and relevant to the rest of the poster

The use of a suit shows a sign of dignity and respect which is a key element within the poster, as it is based around having respect for fallen soldiers

Not including the face of the person photographed within the poster is very important as if they were it could be seen as specific to a particular type of people, this way it can relate to anyone and therefore telling us everyone should show respect and wear ‘the poppy’ The empty space

here is very effective as it is telling us that something is missing and seeing that is a shape of a poppy it is telling us that something is missing, as if it is a key part of life which relates to the context as the soldiers that were lost at war are a key part of lifeThe use of simple colours shows us

that the creator wats us to focus on something else on the image (the missing poppy) as these colour are the least important part

Tis rhetorical question is used to show that we should all know about this topic and that it is very famous. It is also telling us that the poppy is very important

Secondary research1) http://www.beyondintractability.org/userguide/identity-conflicts “The definition of the word identity varies according to who is using it and why they are using it. In many fields, identity differences are seen to be a root cause of conflict. Psychological, especially social psychological explanations of conflict draw upon social identity theory as one of the primary explanations for conflict. In sociology, identity is related to self-awareness and self-consciousness which lead to cultural norms and group identities. Within politics, Identity Politics is seen as a search to reconcile concepts of nation and communal identities. Studies of religion attribute a large part of one's identity to one's beliefs. Anthropology, history, literature, medicine, philosophy and other disciplines each have something to add to the discussion on identity and how it relates to conflict. As the concept is so prevalent, this user guide draws upon a wide-range of essays from Beyond Intractability, written from a variety of perspectives and addressing a selection of issues. The guide is just a door into a greater understanding and will enable the reader only to begin to explore the concept of identity conflicts.” This link is very useful as it gives me an idea of how identity effects people and how it can cause conflicts which gives me more evidence into how important a campaign about identity is and that it will have a serious effect on people,

2) http://www.identitytheft.org.uk/ “Identity theft is becoming an increasingly common problem in the United Kingdom, as fraudsters discover more and more ways to get hold of the information which is required to steal someone’s identity.Identity theft rarely involves the unauthorised taking of a victim’s personal possessions, however it does involve the perpetrator of the crime taking the victim’s personal information and then using this in an unauthorised way for their own personal gain.”
