RIMMEL – KATE MOSS

The advert was launched on the 10th October 2011. This advert tries to sell the very first Kate Moss lipsticks. The advert is shot in the photo-shoot style to make the audience feel if they buy the product all the doors will be open for them.

The reason why Kate Moss was chosen to advertise thins product is because she was the one who created it. In order to make sure that the audience likes the product they need to believe what they see on the screen. The reason why Kate Moss was chosen to advertise her product is because it would show the audience that she likes her lipsticks and also it would encourage her fans to try it out. The overall message of the advert is that if you have these lipsticks them you will be popular and even more beautiful and wanted.

If the advert was done using a real person then I believe that the message would still stay the same but the sales wouldn’t have been as good because of the fan base that the celebrity has.

The reason why celebrity status matter is because it has an effect on the sales that the product that they are advertising. The reason for this is the fan base that the celebrity has. The higher status of the celebrity the more fans they have the more sale would be made due to them wanting to be like their idol.

MULLER – NICOLE SCHERZINGER Muller advert is about Muller yogurt and the new flavours. In this advert she advertises the Greek style yogurt.

The reason why Nicole was chosen to present the advert was because she appeals to the target audience of the product. In her adverts she is being very down to earth and silly making sure that she lets the audience know that it tastes very nice. Also, it is aimed at mothers and their children. The over all message of this advert is that the product that the Muller is advertising is so good that it can even break the arches which is seen in the advert.

I believe that the message would still have stayed the same but it would have had a different effect on the audience if Nicole was replaced with a real person. The reason why Nicole was chosen for the advert was because she is a down to earth person who made this advert very fun to watch. Also, as she is famous she has quite a large fan base her fans probably were the main consumer for the product as fan base always listens to their idols and their recommendations. However, I believe that even though having the real person would still have been quite good for the advert is because as it would have more believable for a wider range of the audience because they would feel as if they would be telling the truth about the yogurt and if the real person in the advert likes them it must be good. Although, it wouldn’t have gave such good result in the sells because they do not have a large fan base compared to celebrities.

PEPSI MAX – BEYONCÉ, BRITNEY SPEARS, PINK & ENRIQUE IGLESIAS. This advert is about Pepsi Max. the advert is set in the olden day Rome. The celebrities are playing the roles of fighters and kings. Enrique Iglesias is playing the Role of the King. Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Pink are playing the roles of the fighters who have to fight till death. However, the girls team up and sing ‘We will rock you’ and make the whole stadium shake and win over the Pepsi Max form the king.

The reason why these celebrities were chosen is because they were all singers and they had to make sure that the girl could sing because they had to sing ‘We Will Rock You’. Also, the reason why all of the celebrities were chosen because they are highly known around. Also, choosing Enrique Iglesias made sure that the advert will be ethically diverse because Enrique is Spanish. Also, as they also have a large fan base in many countries they were perfect for their roles. The overall message of the advert is that Pepsi Max is the most important thing and that it can save you.

I belies that if the advert would have had real people in the advert that the message would not have stayed the same. The reason for this is that real people would have made the impact on the audience that these celebrities have made and this is because that are worlds pop stars. Having these major celebrities highly increased the sales on the product just because the have fans who believe them and what they advertise.

MISS DIOR- NATALIE PORTMAN This advert was published in the 2015. the product that is being advertised in this advert is the ‘Miss Dior’ perfume by Dior. The advert shows Natalie Portman in the wedding dress walking down the aisle to get married. Later she decides that she doesn't want to get married and takes her shoes off and runs away. Later she takes her wedding gown off and is lefty in a black dress. She runs on the mountain and jumps on the ladder which is attaches to the helicopter where is a man who is seen to be close with her.

The reason why Natalie Portman was chosen to be in this advert is because she is a big Hollywood star and also she is beautiful and represents femininity. I believe that the advert would have the same effect on the audience if it had a real person advertising the product. This is because people wouldn’t know who they are and would just not be interested in watching it. Also because they don’t have the fan base like a celebrity would they wouldn’t appear very believable to the audience.

The overall message of the advert is to make sure that you do what feels tight for you. In the advert Natalie is shown walking down the aisle in the back and white shot. This made it feel as if she didn’t really want to do it. when he said that she wouldn’t do it the colours change to bright colours to show that she is finally doing what she wanted.
