Purpose

• E-commerce online grocer website• Sell Amy’s unique products over the

Internet– Fruits, vegetables, dairy, health foods,

organic foods and sugar-free foods • Currently, there are no online grocery

businesses that compete with Amy’s specialized product line

Market Demographics• Dual-income busy professionals. These people have no time

and would like meals delivered.• Parents with small children. These people are too busy go to

the grocery store and like the convenience of having groceries delivered.

• City dwellers with no cars. In New York, this group is large and going on a big shopping trip is inconvenient. In Southern California where cars are a “must”, this group is not as popular.

• Disabled persons. These people use online grocers for convenience. In this case, online grocers provide a necessary service.

• Elderly people. Many elderly people don’t drive, can’t carry big bags or make large shopping trips.

• People who hate to stand in a grocery store line. Some people just hate going grocery shopping!

Competitors

• Albertson’s, Vons and other brick-and-mortar grocery businesses

Note: the brick-and-mortars are not trying to replace customers in their stores with online

shoppers, but merely want to add to the capabilities, service and convenience of the

customer shopping experience.

• Features include new user registration, editing and deleting profile information, 4 shopping pages, shopping cart, and checkout
