Technology

• Formulated with Japanese Lilyturf, an ingredient that strengthens the Tight Junction, a moisture-level controlling part of the epidermis that helps seal in skin’s own moisture.

What is the shelf life of the product and how long can I keep each product after it has been opened? The shelf life of the product is three years, unopened. Once the product is opened, it has a 12-month time period after opening.

Do any of the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products have any known instabilities (for example: colour variation, odour variation, acceptable separation)? How close to the eyes can you apply the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products? The only product designed for eye area use is Enriching Eye Cream. All other YOUTH XTEND products should not be used on the eyelid and direct eye area.

What is the correct order of use for each YOUTH XTEND product? ARTISTRY skincare follows the Cleanse, Tone, Treat, Moisturise philosophy.

How can the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products be used with other ARTISTRY skincare products? ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND is aesthetically compatible with all ARTISTRY skincare products, including the ARTISTRY Intensive Skincare product line.

Why is the nozzle on the pump products in Lock position upon first opening? This is a special, travel-friendly feature. The nozzle should be rotated one -eighth turn counterclockwise to unlock and allow the product to disperse. The nozzle can be re-locked by rotating one-eighth turn clockwise.

What are the key technologies used in YOUTH XTEND products? The featured technologies in the YOUTH XTEND Skincare Collection are LifeSirt, Micro-X6 Peptide, and African Baobab Fruit Extract.

What is LifeSirt? LifeSirt is an extract from a Mediterranean shrub known in folklore to give people long lives. The leaf extract has been used in YOUTH XTEND formulas and is effective at reprogramming the future of skin by increasing youth protein production and extending the lifespan of skin cells.

What is Micro-X6 Peptide? Exclusive to ARTISTRY® products, this six amino-acids-long peptide (hexapeptide) works to encourage collagen activity in the skin to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What is African Baobab Fruit Extract? The African Baobab Tree, native to Africa, is referred to as the “Tree of Life” and is known to live for over 1,000 years. This fruit extract provides moisture, smoothness, and suppleness to the skin.

What are the key ingredients in the antioxidant blend included in Milky Emulsion, Protecting Lotion, Protecting Cream, and Enriching Eye Cream? The antioxidant blend features Green Acerola Cherry extract, and Black Currant extract. This blend quenches damaging free radicals to protect the skin from further damage.

Do any of the YOUTH XTEND products contain sunscreen? Yes, the Protecting Lotion and Protecting Cream both have SPF 15 and provide broad spectrum protection. SPF 15 is meant for everyday incidental exposure to sun.

What type of fragrance is used in the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND skincare line? The fragrance, developed exclusively for YOUTH XTEND, contains a delicate bouquet of Jasmine, Magnolia, Green Tea, Citrus and Cedarwood.

Do ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products contain any soy ingredients? All YOUTH XTEND products include a low-level soy-derived ingredient. Each ingredient has gone through a thorough safety evaluation.

Do the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products contain gluten? YOUTH XTEND products do not contain any wheat ingredients. But they do contain a patented oat derivative, so we would not characterise these products as gluten-free.

Does the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND line contain any animal ingredients? YOUTH XTEND contains Squalane, a lipid derived from shark liver oil and sterol lipids from purified wool grease. These ingredients are used in other ARTISTRY products.

Are there any Nutrilite™ approved ingredients in ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products? The following Nutrilite- approved ingredients have been included in YOUTH XTEND formulas: Green Acerola Cherry and Black Currant. These extracts provide antioxidant protection against environmental stressors.

SAFETY AND CAUTIONS

Can YOUTH XTEND products be used on those with sensitive skin? All YOUTH XTEND products have been thoroughly tested on groups of individuals representing all skin types. There was no evidence of allergic response or extreme skin irritation. However, we recognise that no testing program can assure that no one will ever develop minor reactions. No skincare product is guaranteed to be 100% irritation free for everyone.

If I have a bad sunburn, can I use these products? How about after a chemical peel or laser treatment? Generally, we do not recommend that any cosmetic product be used after a “bad” sunburn or any treatment that causes extreme inflammation. The products should only be used after inflammation has subsided. For use after a chemical peel or laser treatment, one should consult their physician.

Are there any products that should be avoided when using the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND Collection? No other ARTISTRY products need to be avoided when using YOUTH XTEND products. YOUTH XTEND was formulated to be compatible with all other ARTISTRY skincare products.

Why do some products, despite extensive testing, still cause a skin reaction on some? No skincare product is guaranteed to be 100% irritation -free for everyone. All YOUTH XTEND products are thoroughly tested for skin compatibility and safety, but there are always a small number of people sensitive to certain ingredients. Otherwise, the products are considered safe when used as directed. Just as some people are allergic to pets or dust, others are allergic to common cosmetic ingredients. Of course, we are careful not to use any ingredients that are known to cause allergic reactions. It must also be kept in mind that the YOUTH XTEND products contain many highly effective and efficacious ingredients in order to provide the high level of anti-ageing benefits. If redness develops or the sensations become more severe the consumer should discontinue use.

Were any of the ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products tested on animals? ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND products were not tested on animals. We conduct clinical and consumer testing with human volunteers.

How quickly will I see a difference in my skin? Results are individual and depend on many factors such as age and condition of skin. Generally, most people will see an immediate result in skin moisturisation and smoothness. Under clinical testing, women noticed a reduction in visible fine lines and wrinkles in as little as one week with increased benefits with continued use.
