Launched in 2010, Green watts LLC is a jordanian company lead by a professional team to establish a renewable power plants in southern jordan, in particular tafila and maan. Located 25km south of the historical city of Petra, Al rajef wind farm is a planned 83mw plant using 36-40 wind turbines spread over 6 Square kms of private lands. the project is part of the direct proposals submited to the jordanian government on 28 july 2011, it is expected that approval on the initial approval on the project mou will be granted in mid September 2011.
