Zirconia – Alumina – Metal Primer

BISCO’s Z-PRIME Plus is a single-component priming agent used to create adhesion between indirect restorative materials and all resin containing cements.

Z-PRIME Plus - A proprietary Formula of concentrated MDP/Carboxylate monomers has been specifically formulated to address the current weakness in competitor’s primers and create a compelling reason to replacethem immediately!

Z-PRIME PlusIndications For Use

BISCO’s Z-PRIME™ PLUS is intended for use as a surface treatment for the following indirect restoration substrates:

Zirconia (e.g. Lava, Cerec, Implant & others) Alumina (e.g. Procera) Metal/alloy (Titanium, PFM, Non-Precious, High

Noble) Composite (Direct & Indirect) Endodontic Posts (Zirconia, Metal, Fiber) Intra-oral repairs

Using the new primer had a significant effect on increasing the bond strength to zirconia of the tested cements between 86% and 160% increase.

Technique For Placement

Clean the internal surface of the restoration; rinse and air dry.

Apply 1-2 coats of Z-PRIME™ Plus, uniformly wetting the internal surface. Dry with an air syringe for 3-5 seconds.

Proceed with cementation using a luting cement (e.g. DUO-LINK™).

“Improved marginal adaptation, prevention of microleakage, increased fracture strength, and increased retention insituations where mechanical retention does not exist constitute the benefits of a stable and durable resin bond tozirconia.”

“The groups where the experimental zirconia primer (ZrP-groups) was used presented the highest mean bond strength values.”

“The groups that did not receive the experimental primer (NP groups)and the group treated with the MDP-containing primer(CCP-group) presented the lowest mean bond strength values”
