In the corner of the room… zoom…

a monster runs to eat his buns!

In the corner of the shed… on his bed…

a monster lies

eating pies!

In the corner of the garden…

I beg your pardon…

a monster sitseating bits

of mud!

In the corner of the class…

in a glass…

a monster standsand claps his hands!

In the corner of the yard…

oh, how hard…

a monster skipsthen eats his chips!

In the cornerof the street…

against the wall…

a monster leans.He’s wearing jeans!

How cool!

In the corner of the pond…

amongst the fronds…

a monster floatsdreaming of boats.

In the corner of the loo…

‘can this be true?’…

a monster hides, clinging onto the sides!

In the cornerof the bath…

‘what a laugh!’…

two monsters swimlooking grim.

In the corner of the bed…

Two monsters wait.They’re coming straight…

For me!

Three little monsters sleeping tight,warm and cosy through the night,

under covers, side by side.

When morning comes they start the dayfinding monster ways to playand corners in which to hide!
