Highly advanced ac id gas treatment systems employing wet, semi-dry and dry technology.
Wet scrubbing technology is based on the neutralization of the acid gases (SOx, HCl, HF, etc.) through the injection of fresh water plus a reactant or sea water only, the latter a specific technology applied in the shipbuilding and ship retrofitting that makes direct use of sea water salinity/alkalinity.
Semi-dry scrubbing technology, mainly employed in glass, ceramic and incineration industries, with the injection of lime-milk in tower/reactors appropriately sized or limestone granules plus water spray fume conditioning.
Dry scrubbing technology systems are utilised in many industrial applications for power production and incineration, injecting lime or sodium bi-carbonate powder in an appropriate reactor or directly in a bag filter where the reaction takes place on the layer of powder + reagent (cake) on the filtering surface.
Highly efficient, low operating costs DeNOx SCR - Selective Catalyst Reduction systems with performances > 98% using solutions of urea or NH3 injection. A CO reduction catalyst (CatOx) may also be included. DeNOx Catalysts used in Ecospray’s systems are produced by Haldor Topsøe.
Ecospray has also introduced SCR systems that employ catalyzed ceramic filter elements, combining excellent DeNOx efficiencies and very high PM/dust removal emissions (<5mg/Nm3).
DeNOx SNCR Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction systems with an injection of urea or NH3 directly in the gas stream at high temperature with efficiency >60% using Ecospray’s proprietary atomizing lances.
Ecospray also has developed a urea external gasification system that allows immediate and complete transformation of urea into NH3 reducing the use of the reagent and increasing the DeNOx efficiency too.

ACID GAS REMOVAL
Ecosp ray p rov ides h igh l y efficient evaporative gas cooling systems with low operating costs which employs a controlled injection of ultrafine atomized water sprays directly into the gaseous flow.
In evaporat ive towers , a l l equipped with proprietary lances and nozzles, water is atomized using Single Fluid High Pressure Systems (High Water Pressure), Bi-fluid Low Pressure Systems (Air/Water Low Pressure) or with the combined system Spill Air (High Water/Low Air Pressure System), a technology specificaly developed by Ecospray.
Adiabatic cooling systems to increase the power output of energy generation equipment by injection of demineralized water inside the intake.
The performance gains result from the adiabatic decrease of air temperature obtained by atomizing water at ambient temperature directly into the air flow using special spray nozzle.
A similar type of system, with the same results, can also be applied outside of the intake, with specific filters to hold back the water droplets.
The Ecospray fogging technology allows to increase the performance o f the power genera to r s production of about 0.6 ÷ 0.7% for each degree of reduced temperature, thus obtaining higher efficiency by 4÷5% up to 9÷10%.
Dioxin abatement systems, VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), oils and odors (mercaptans, unburned hydrocarbons) removal technologies using activated carbon filters (with and without in-situ regeneration), wet scrubbers plus additives (peroxide, soda, etc.) or catalytic reactors.
Besides traditional bag filters, in dry filtration Ecospray has focused its developments on high temperature de-dusting systems, either ceramic filter elements or CDF catalytic particulate filters that simultaneously also contribute to the removal of soot, unburned/aromatic hydrocarbons and oily residues that are often present in the exhaust gases of diesel engines.
For specific applications where the use of bag filters is precluded due to tough exhaust gas conditions (e.g. high humidity and/or temperature, explosive dust/gas, etc.), Ecospray has designed innovative scrubbers with variable geometries which allows excellent filtration efficiency.
Ecospray also offers catalytic oxidative systems for the removal of unburned hydrocarbons from the exhaust gases of marine diesel engines and static generators.The catalytic filter and the oxidative systems have been developed in collaboration with Haldor Topsøe.
Systems for the removal of H2S and CO2 from biogas in case of future networking and its up-grading.I n b iogas t rea tment and upgrading, Ecospray’s solutions combine H2S and CO2 removal and dehumidification systems, including DeNOx removal when used for power generation.
