in TA (Please keep them in your bag in case you need one).

STUDENT ARRIVAL - What Door do I Come Through in the Morning?
• Use Door #1 or #14 in the upper lot, if you are a car rider, or if you are a walker or biker coming from the upper Harrison area
• Use Door #5 in the lower lot if you are a 6th or 7th grade walker or biker coming from the lower Harrison area
• Use Door #6 in lower lot if you are an 8th grade walker or biker coming from the lower Harrison area
• Use Door #4 by the cafeteria if you are a bus rider. ONLY bus riders can enter through this door.
• Car riders and walkers - do not arrive until 7:25 am
STUDENT ARRIVAL - What happens when I come through the door in the morning?
• If you are a bus rider, you will enter through Door #4 , grab a squirt of hand sanitizer, and go to the cafeteria until you are dismissed
• If you enter through another door you will be asked to show your Qualtrics “checkmark” from your pre-screening health check
• If you completed your pre-screening at home but don’t have your checkmark to show, we can check to see that you completed it. (But please get in the habit of doing this at home so we can speed up the arrival process).
• If you didn’t competes the pre-screening at home, we will screen you when you arrive
• EVERYONE GETS THEIR TEMPERATURE CHECKED AT THE DOOR!• Once you clear the screening, you will go directly to your 1A or 2B class.
What will it be like in class?• As you enter each class, grab a disinfectant wipe and wipe down your
desk and chair • There will be hand sanitizer available in class if you do not have any• You will have an assigned seat in all of your classes and need to stay
in your seat.• Keep your mask on at all times (If yours breaks or gets dirty, we have
others to provide you)• Every desk will have a QR code on it for you to use to sign out to
leave the room if you need to go to the restroom or another location in the building - Always ask the teacher or classroom assistant first!
• Your teacher will be teaching you and your classmates at home virtually
How do we change classes and move around in the halls?• STUDENTS - Please follow these rules:
• Walk on right side of halls• Wear masks• Maintain 6 foot distance from others• No running in the building• Restrooms - do not crowd the bathrooms.
No more than 2 at a time. Wait outside the bathroom where the floor is marked.
• Water filling stations - one student at a time, remain 6 feet behind waiting students
What do I do about using the stairs?
• Stairwells - Stairs are marked with signs for directions• The stairwells (in the front hall and by the gym) are
UP on one side and DOWN on the other, like always• The Stairwell by Door 5 will be:
• only UP at arrival • closed during the day • DOWN during dismissal for all students
• The Stairwell by Door 6 is UP only - ALL DAY• The Electives stairwell is Down only - ALL DAY
• These stairwells are clearly marked with signage
What will Lunch Be Like?
● You will have assigned seats at lunch ● Please do not change seats● Your TA teacher will give you your lunch seat #● Use the designated lines to get lunch or a drink, then go
to your assigned seat● If you buy, it will be grab and go-there will not be the
choice you had in past years● If you bring your lunch, go to your seat● No electronics but you can bring a book to read● We will go outside for Recess in the Courtyard if weather
allows during the last 15 minutes of lunch
LUNCH6th grade lunch:● 10:54 - 11:29 Eating in the cafeteria● 11:30 - 11:44 Outside for Recess in the Courtyard - weather
permitting; students will go to TA early during inclementweather
7th grade lunch:● 11:33 - 12:08 Eating in the cafeteria● 12:08 - 12:23 Outside for Recess in the Courtyard - weather permitting;
students will go to 5th pd early during inclement weather8th grade lunch:● 12:22 - 12:57 Eating in the cafeteria● 12:57 - 1:12 Outside for Recess in the Courtyard - weather permitting;
students will remain in the cafeteria during inclement weather
How will we be dismissed at the end of the day?
• We will stagger our dismissal, so you must listen carefully for the bells and the announcements
• 2:40: Walkers and Bikers will be dismissed by grade level - wait for your grade level to be called
• 2:45: Car Riders will be dismissed by grade level - wait for your grade level to be called
• 2:50: Bus riders will report to the cafeteria and will be dismissed by bus# as buses arrive (11 students max per bus)
How do I get Tech Support if I need it?
• Submit a student tech help form (link on the WMS homepage)
• If you are a hybrid student you will be called during TA or electives to go to Ms. Solomon’s office for help
• Use the QR Code Sign-out process to go see Ms. Solomon (by appointment only)
• If you are a distance learner, you will be sent a Canvas message or your parents will receive an email
What if I need to see my Counselor?If you already meet with someone each week?You will continue to meet virtually on a day you are at home
What if I’m in school and want to talk to a counselor?If it is an emergency -
1. You’re teacher/assistant will call the office to let them know you are coming up.2. Scan the QR code on your desk with your iPad3. Report to the main office so your counselor can meet you
If it is not an emergency - 1. Message your counselor on Canvas2. Your counselor will schedule a time if possible later in the day to touch base with
you.(TA, Lunch or asynchronous time in class)
Classroom lessons will continue virtually
What if I need to go to the clinic for some reason?• The Clinic is by “appointment only” this year• If you go for daily medication, the clinic nurse or
aide will set up times for you to come. Use the QR code sign-out system to leave class
• If you are injured, the teacher will call the clinic to let them know you are coming
• If you are having Covid-like symptoms, the school health staff will decided if your parent needs to be contacted to pick you up

What Else Do I Need to Know?• There are no lockers this year. Carry all supplies in your
backpack. Pack smartly!• Cell phones are to remain off and put away. All phone
calls will need to made from the main office• Bring your iPad to school, fully charged. Bring your
charger in your backpack in case you need to charge during the day
• Do not bring a laptop or other device from home• Bring headphones for class• After-school activities and clubs will be virtual only• Bring a clear water bottle to fill up at one of the three
water bottle filling stations (no drinking from fountain)
