Victory Day—Why do we celebrate?
Rhode Island is the only state to officially celebrate the day, and we do so to honor the sacrifices made by the many RI veterans of the War in the Pacific. Others feel that the name of the day is discriminatory as it refers directly to Japan. However you feel, it’s a good time to pause, reflect and learn more about this important piece of world history…
Coloring Night at the Library Wednesday, August 10th at 6:30pm. Ages 16 &up Coloring can be beneficial for adults -- namely for its de-stressing pow-er! Coloring pages and art tools will be provided. Call to sign up or just stop in that night!
Archive Open House—History of the Scituate Reservoir Tuesday, August 23 at 6:30pm
This month, come and see the pictures of houses that are now under the reservoir, study the blueprints of the planned area and listen to the recorded memories of the people who lived through the change here in Scituate. No registration needed.
