INISTRY

The Five Essentials of Fruitful and Sustainable

Ministry Sites

Widespread PrayerWe deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site.

Loving RelationshipsWe consistently pursue lost kids and engage them in lifelong relationships with Jesus.

Faithful Bible TeachingWe accurately handle biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives.

Collaborative Community StrategyWe intentionally work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.

Adults Who EmpowerWe strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group.

5Hi, I’m Jon, one of the Juvenile Justice Directors in the Peoria Area. It is a blessing to be working alongside students in residential facilities and incarcerated youth. God

allows me to share the Gospel and build relationships with some pretty broken lives and I am grateful for your desire to learn more about what He is up to in the lives of these youth throughout the city.

We are about relationships and meeting young people in the places they go to raise up life-long followers of Jesus.  Juvenile Justice engages students through weekly events,  YFCamp, and of course, tons of face to face time.  We provide a balanced approach - physical, mental, social, and spiritual - to give teens the skills and hope they need to live in a turbulent world.

Juvenile Justice Ministry is part of an organization called Youth for Christ. YFC was founded in 1944 and now exists in over 120 countries with 20,000 staff and volunteers. Within YFC, we combine Christ-centered relationships and creative programing to help young people establish a solid foundation for life, make good choices, and positively impact their schools and local communities.
