Dan Buettner’s colossal research gives us remarkable insight into

human longevity and well-being.

His effort, funded in part by the National Geographic Expeditions

Council and the National Institute on Aging, has taken him from

Costa Rica to Italy to Japan and beyond. He has discovered that

the way people interact with each other, nourish their bodies, and

view their world impacts the extent and quality of their lives.

Hundreds of youth council members will meet with elected leaders of Utah’s cities and towns and get acquainted with their state government representatives at the Utah State Capitol and at Salt Palace Convention Center. It’s an opportunity to build valuable relationships, learn about the important legislative process, and learn how to make life better in our cities and towns.

Law Enforcement and the Use of Body-Worn Cameras Utah Youth City Council members participate in mock committee hearings and learn first-hand how legislators debate the issues.

In past years, the arguments students present in our ULCT Youth Council Hearings have become pertinent points of discussion among important committees on Capitol Hill.

Be part of the most exciting tradition of the 2016 Utah State Legislative Session.

As a rising star in competitive swimming, Mallory Weggemann’s visit to a doctor for simple procedure resulted in complications leading to paralysis from the waist down. With sheer determination, she returned to the pool as a Paralympic swimmer and astounded the world with her unparalleled feats. She is now one of the top ranked Paralympic swimmers worldwide.
