ESO: PROMOTION
• Repetitions: they can repeat a course once. Maximum 2 repetitions in ESO
• Promotion to next level:– If they pass all subjects– If they fail a maximum of 3 subjects (they
must pass them the following year)– If they have already repeated,they promote to
next level, but they must pass the failed subjects
ESO: CERTIFICATION
• Who gets the Certificate?– Students who pass all the subjects– Students who fail a maximum of 2 subjects
18-year-old students with NO Certificate and no more than 5 subjects failed, will have during the following two years a special exam to pass those subjects and get the Certificate.
ESO: TUTORIAL CLASSWho can be a tutor? Any teacher who teaches the whole class
How long? 1 school year
Activities in the tutorial class 1 session weekly for:Talking about relationship, coexintence…Solving any problems which arises in the classroomImproving the students’ learning proccessAdvising and orientating students (optional subjects..)
Comunication with families A parents-tutor meeting at the beginning of the school year
A weekly session to speak to parents individually
ESO: ORIENTATION
• There is a Departament of Orientation with the aims of: – Giving information to both parents and students about
anything in relation with the whole educational proccess.
– Establishing varied ways to help students to meet the objectives of ESO
– Orientating and advising parents and students on the choices they have to make along the educational stage
– Organising activities for cross-curricular topics
WHAT TO DO AFTER “ESO”
• If students get the Certificate:– Non Compulsory Secondary Education/Bacharelato– Vocational Training - Basic Degree
• If students do NOT get the Certificate:– PCPI (Initial Professional Qualification Programme)– Entrance test to Vocational Training-Basic Degree– EPA (Adults’ Longlife Education)– Tests for +18-year-old students with no more than five
subjects failed

• Classes finish: 14’40
• BREAK: 11’40-12’10
• 50-MINUTES SESSIONS
• MONDAY EVENING: 16’40 – 18’20

SCHOOL REGULATIONS
• There is a document with all the school rules for a good coexistence.
• At the beginning of the school year students take home a summary of the school rules and both parents and students sign it.
