Graduation Requirements - Class of 2021• Minimum of 21 Academic credits

- 4 English 9, 10, 11, and I additional credit- 4 credits of Mathematics- 3 Science- 3 Social Studies (Financial Literacy requirement imbedded)- 1/2 credit of Health- 1/2 credit of Physical Education (1/4 each sem)- 1 Fine Arts Credit

State Assessments – Earn a minimum of 18 out of possible 35points.

- 4 credits of Science including Physics and Chemistry- 4 credits of Social Studies- 3 credits of one World Language or 2 credits each of 2 World Languages

- 3.5 GPA or better at the end of 7 semesters- Composite score of 27 on the ACT or combined score of 1210 on the SAT (Critical Reading & Math)

CHS Advisory Programs

The purpose of the advisory program is to strengthen communication among students, between faculty and students, and to develop communication links between the school and home.

ADVISORY PROGRAM Cont.• Grade Level Themes:• 9th Grade – “Orientation” – Adjustment to the CHS environment• 10th Grade – “Exploration” – Careers and life’s opportunities• 11th Grade – “Action” – Planning for the post high school

experience• 12th Grade – “Transition” – The reality of life after CHS

• Helps to make the transition to high school easy and exciting

• Junior/Senior Elk Connectors will work with 9th graders throughout the school year

Summer School Information• Semester Dates:

- Semester 1= May 30 - June 16- Semester 2= June 19- July 7(no school Tuesday, July 4)

• Materials Available:- HS webpage download section- Complete enrollment form- Register via Home Access Center (HAC)

• The Physical Education Waiver is available to student athletes, members of after-school marching band & flag corps, co-ed members, and cheerleaders.

• Daily participation paralleling the official sport season must be completed at a 90% attendance level in the specific activity for credit to be granted.

• Take additional .5 semester elective

• Credit Flex Option for PE Credit
