Grammar Tip of the Day
When yinz needs an apostrophe– I’ll meet yinz at the Coney.
No apostrophe needed. No possession exists.
– Can I have one ‘a yinz’s honey-hot wings?.An apostrophe is needed before the s. (‘s) The wings
belonged to your good friend, “Yinz”
– I ate all ‘a yinzes’ wings while yinzes were shooting pool in the game room.
An apostrophe is needed after the s, (s’) as it is showing plural possession. The wings belonged to the multiple people who are your good friends.
