WE PARTNER TO SUPPORT LIVESThe American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA) is a

non-profit organization providing critical support to infected

and affected HIV+ children and their caregivers. Since 2005,

in collaboration with in-country partners, AFCA have served

tens of thousands of families in underserved and marginalized

communities in Africa. Areas of impact include: medical support,

livelihoods, nutrition, educational support and emergency

relief. Support is focused on promoting self-reliance with

emphasis on agriculture projects that provide training and core

materials. Currently, AFCA is transforming lives in Kenya, Uganda,

Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Tourism is one of the top three industries in Zimbabwe, providing

thousands of jobs and supporting thousands of people. AFCA

has partnered with Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides

Association and Safari Operators Association of Zimbabwe as two

key tourism associations who understand the need to develop

our children as potential future employees and employers within

the industry. The key aim of funds raised in this partnership is to

expose children affected with AIDS to the tourism and wildlife

industry. This will be undertaken through short wildlife camps

where children will be introduced to the environment and

exposed to the many facets involved. Children showing aptitude

will be singled out and provided with specific basic training

and support as required on an individual basis to assist them in

moving into a career path within the tourism industry.
