KEYLINE SCALES OF PERMANENCE

This concept helped solve problems of priority in the design of the farm landscape. The Keyline Scale of Permanence is an order for planning based on the relative permanence of

the various items, which together make up the completed landscape. It can be successfully applied to the design of the

town and city landscapes.The Keyline Scale of Permanence is:

3. Water4. Roads5. Trees

6. Buildings7. Subdivision

8. Soil
