Walla Walla Housing Authority Gym Project

Proposal

501 Cayuse Street

“Our vision is to effectively increase housing options and partnerships to create healthy communities where people choose to live, work, and play.”

Who is Walla Walla Housing Authority:

The Walla Walla Housing Authority offers rental assistance and/or affordable housing opportunities. Rental assistance is in the form of subsidized housing whether it be on the open market with a private landlord or a family renting in our Low-Rent Public Housing program. In both cases, the family pays a reduced rent based on the household income (family pays approximately 30-40% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent and utilities). A security deposit loan program to assist with the move-in cost is also available. This is again a loan so that funds are available to continue supporting more families. Another piece of the housing assistance is education which the WW Housing Authority coordinates with/refer to other service agencies to assist families in need. Owner/landlord information and education is also provided.

WW Housing Authority serves over 1,500 families throughout WW, Columbia, Benton, Franklin, and
