The second Jamaica FilmFestival opens tonight at8.00 o'clock at the StateTheatre with the screen-ing of The People'sRepublic of China's entry"THE WHITE HAIREDGIRL" and the con-troversial U.S. film abouta Black people's revolu-t i o n "THE S P O O KWHO SAT BY THEDOOR" at 9.30 p.m.

The opening day has beendubbed "International Day".p r o b a b l y because of themarked difference betweenthe Chinese entry which fea-tures the Republic's ModernRevolutionary Ballet, andthe violent "Spook" whichshould have been screenedlast year, but suffered at thehands of the censors..
