NC Volunteer Guide 3

Dear Community Members,

Your time can change lives.

By volunteering your time and talents, you play a key role in solving important community problems and making our community a better place for all.

Every day, United Way of Larimer County is working to create positive change and advance the common good in Northern Colorado. But, we couldn’t do what we do without the involvement of thousands of people in our community who donate their time to help their neighbors and make a difference.

The Northern Colorado Volunteer Resource Guide acts as a matchmaker for citizens interested in volunteering and community organizations that need help. The following pages will help you find volunteer opportunities that fit your passions, interests and schedule.

In addition, I encourage you to utilize the year-round resources available through the Volunteer Center to find the volunteer opportunity that’s right for you. To keep up-to-date on the most current volunteer opportunities, visit our website at www.UnitedWayofLarimerCounty.org and click on “VOLUNTEER” on the top right of the screen. You can also call United Way 2-1-1 (or 970-407-7066) to get connected to projects in the community.

United Way of Larimer County sends special thanks to the sponsors of the 2013-2014 Northern Colorado Volunteer Resource Guide: Bohemian Foundation, Colorado State University, Coloradoan Media Group, and United Way of Larimer County’s Business Cares members. We also send our thanks to the hundreds of nonprofit agencies who submitted information for the Guide.

It takes an entire community to make a difference. Thank you for all you do to LIVE UNITED.

Sincerely,

Gordan Thibedeau UnitedWayofLarimerCounty President&CEO
