OnMarch13,theNCAADivisionOneMen’sBasketballTournamentbeganwithhistorybeingmade.Forthefirsttime,a16seedbeata1seedintheTournament.The16seed,UniversityofMarylandBaltimoreCounty,beatVirginia71-54.Thatwasthebigthinginroundone.Thereare5rounds.Imadeacompilationofthebestdunksinround3ifyouwanttocheckthatoutathttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKA-hTQl4LU.

Ineachgametheteamwholosesgetseliminated,andtheteamwhowinsmovesontothenextrounduntiltherearetoteamsleft.Then,whoeverwinsthatgamewinstheentiretournament.ThisyearthetwoteamswereMichiganandVillanova.Michigan,fromtheBig10Conference,wasseededNo.3,whileVillanova,fromtheBigEastconference,wasseededNo.1.Bothteamsputupagreateffort,withbigplaysoneitherend,butintheend,Villanovatookthetrophyhome.
