Motor Coupling & Seal BearingThe three-piece, rigid adjustable motor couplingincorporates the best features of the ByronJackson, IDP and Stork heritage designs: motor hub, adjusting nut and pump hub.

Mounting PlatePump support is accompanied by a heavy-duty steel mounting plate boltedto customer foundation.

Shaft

Precision machined for trueness and balance tominimize shaft vibration and maximize bearing life.

Outer ColumnTypically carbon steel is utilized on fresh water applications, with stainless steel, duplex stainlesssteel or nickel aluminum bronze on seawaterapplications. The outer column flanges featureprecision rabbet fits to ensure proper alignmentof each pump section. Heavy wall casting availablein a variety of materials.

Impeller

Cast to meet customer material and hydraulicrequirements. Precision molds assure subsurfacequality and proper vane location, shape and finish.

Suction BellHeavy wall casting or fabrication with optimumshape and finish for efficient velocity increaseand vortex suppression. Straightening vanesminimize flow disturbances at the impellereye to assure high design point efficiency.

Integral Thrust Bearing Design OptionAn axial thrust bearing

assembly is available foruse with IEC motors.Integral to the pump,the bearing assembly isdesigned to withstand

total hydraulic thrust androtor weight.

Cutless rubber with metal backing featuringdry start capability.

Discharge Head

One-piece fabrication on non pull-out pump with a standard 5 piece miteredelbow. Optional pull-out pump features two-piece discharge head; the dischargeelbow and the discharge head liner, integralwith the pull-out cover, efficiently changethe direction of flow from the column to thedischarge nozzle.

Shaft Coupling

Utilizes keys and lock collars to ensure accurate alignment andto efficiently transmittorque and axial thrust

between shaft sections.Optional axially split

Bowl

Fabricated or cast to meet customer material or construction specifications.Fabricated bowl ensures extended life dueto conservative design stresses. Cast bowlis a one-piece casting with heavy walls and vanes.
