Using Reading Lists to find resources for your

course

What are Reading Lists?• Reading Lists are a quick and easy way of accessing resources for your course.•With Reading Lists you can:• quickly see if a resource you need is available in the

library, and where in the library it is located• directly access eBooks and other online resources• keep track of what resources you have read and

which you intend to read• download or export your reading list

Getting started with Reading Lists

You can also find a link to Reading Lists on the Library home page:

Reading Lists can be found at: readinglists.rhul.ac.uk

On the Reading Lists homepage, click here to log in using your college username and password

Or you can search for your course by course code or title

Once you’ve logged in you can

browse courses by department

Choose the list you want to view

Click the purple link to locate the resource in the library

Items are classified as ‘Essential’, ‘Recommended’ or ‘Further’ so you can prioritise your reading

Where the resource can be found in the

library

View the item in the library catalogue or find other editions of the same resource

Keep track of the items that you’ve read

This icon means the resource is available electronically through the

library. The button will take you directly to the resource

Want to export your reading list? No problem! You can download the list as a PDF and save to your computer, or you can export to RefWorks
