Using Middle Search® Plus

For Junior Academic Bowl Competitions

You have been named to the Junior Academic Team.

Now, what?Where do you start?Let the Middle Search® Plus database help with researching your topic.

Middle Search® Plus is accessed through INSPIRE

Scroll down and click to open the Middle Search® Plus Database

Sign in and Search

Type in key words for your search.

Sign in before searching so you will be able to save search results in your folder.

Log in or Establish a Free Account

New Users go here.

Step 1On the right side bar of the screen, find the link “Go to Folder View” and click on this.

Step 2 On the left side bar, of the new window, locate “New Folder” and click on that link.

Type in the folder name and any notes. Click save.

Click on the yellow Academic Team folder and see the options “edit” and “share” underneath the folder. Click on “Share.” You can now invite team members to share your folder. Type in their email addresses and click “INVITE.”

and conquer the research task. Shared folders allow all team members access

to the same quality resources. Shared folders are indicated by a special icon

Once you find a resource that you want to save, look at the top menu bar and click on the yellow folder. Once you do this, the title of the resource will be added in the “Folder has items” window.

After you click on the “Go to Folder View” link, you will see this window. All newly added resources will appear here. Check the boxes of items you want to move. Click the “Move To” button to move the resources into the correct folder.

Notice that resources may also be copied to multiple folders or deleted.
