To help yourself

and the poor

across the world?

Good learning games

Put up a compelling game

Good learning games

That also helps a kid learn

Good learning games

Education needs to reach

across borders and continents

Good learning games

You need revenue from banner ads

Good learning games

They need education and food

Good learning games

Freerice helps both

Good learning games

But Freerice is a charity

Good learning games

But how do you make money?

Good learning games

Make a “good game”

Good learning games

Kids play and learn

Good learning games

You sell banner ads

Good learning games

Of a dollar that you earn,

give a quarter to charity.

Good learning games

Publish the accounts

for all to see.

Good learning games

What goes around comes around

Good learning games

There are thousands of games

Good learning games

But they dont get hits

Good learning games

Pages are heavy

Good learning games

Games aren't need-based

Good learning games

Games are “luxury goods”

Good learning games

What games are need-based?

Good learning games

Educational games

Good learning games

Quizzes

Online exams

Good learning games

Education is expensive

Exams are tedious

Good learning games

Primary education is of poor quality

Good learning games

Because effort is wasted

on mundane exams

Good learning games

Remove that burden

Good learning games

Get exams online

Good learning games

Good learning games

Don't demote the kid,

give him a second chance.

Good learning games

Good learning games

Reduce the burden on teachers

Good learning games

Help teachers reach more kids

Good learning games

Help them teach across borders

Good learning games

Make educational games

that help this process

Good learning games

Sell your site as the one ...

Good learning games

which gives away

the Charity Quarter

Good learning games

Use new features in Javascript

and good libraries in Javascript

to bring visualization

to the games you make

Good learning games

Bring these online:

gCompris

TuxMath

TuxTyping

Good learning games

Make them interactive:

Encourage kids

to play with equations

to juggle atoms and stars

Good learning games

New ways of thinking

that kids would love

while you teach them

their subjects at school

Good learning games

Publish your accounts

to show the world

that the Charity Quarter

is really useful.

Good learning games

But there's one problem:

your choice of charity

will not interest some users.

So what do you do?

Good learning games

Simply ask your users about

their preferred charity!

Present a list of 5-10 causes

Good learning games

The user decides on

one of the many

and you set a cookie

or an account setting.

Good learning games

At the end of each month,

when you publish your accounts,

you highlight his share

of the money donated.

Good learning games

And to increase your revenue,

simply ask your user

about which advertisements

he would prefer to see.

Good learning games

This is a win-win solution

for all the three:

user, developer and advertiser.
