SoE SeminarInterpreting, Inferring or Mind Reading?

Difficulties and ethical issues around children centred research

On 21st February 2014, SoE PhD student Benny Kuruvilla led a seminar focused on difficulties and ethical issues sometimes encountered in the research we do with children. Benny’s presentation provoked much discussion surrounding issues of ethical protocol, power relationships and children’s rights and capabilities among the internationally diverse gathering of attending colleagues. You can read more on the issues raised in Professor Richard Rose’s blog post: Who is capable? http://mypad.northampton.ac.uk/richardrosebangalore/2014/02/26/who-is-capable/
