UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL

BETTER PEOPLE / BETTER COMMUNITIES / BETTER WORLD / 1
To run, before sunrise. To climb a rock face, blindfolded. To swim in the sea, at sundown. To walk a rope, amongst the tree tops. Outward Bound will challenge you to be more.
Outward Bound is an adventure-based experience located in Anakiwa, Marlborough Sounds. We use the outdoors to push your limits, physically and mentally. You will face the elements, and your fears. You will learn how to change direction out at sea, and in your life.

Ride the rush of the rapids. Sail out to sea. Run until you cannot run any further. Then run some more. Outward Bound is not a destination, it is a turning point in your life.

Sleep under the stars. Sail against the persistent winds. Breathe the untouched air 1000m above sea level. Push yourself out of your comfort zone, and you will forever see the world in a new light.

it. You must be able to comfortably run

full day’s physical activity. Some adapted
and custom design courses have different
fitness requirements.

A: You do not need to be a flash swimmer, but
you do need to be comfortable in water –
that means getting your head underwater.
We have lifejackets.
Q: Are there any medical requirements?
A: You must complete an Outward Bound
medical form with a doctor, which will be
reviewed by our nurse. If you are concerned
