Getting started

• You can ensure you have library access by registering with the library online

Access to E-Resources

• You have will have 2 usernames and passwords while at the University of Sunderland1. University User ID and Password – for access to University email,

Selfcare, Sunspace, evision2. Athens Account – for access to online library resources

• Shortly after enrolling on your programme you will receive an ATHENS ACCOUNT

• It will be emailed to your University email within 3-4 days• Look for an email from ‘Athens Administrator’

Journal Search• Use Journal Search to locate journal articles

• Keyword searching• Search all course databases or subject specific databases• Basic or advanced searching• Save your results

• Use Journal Search to browse publications• Log into Journal Search with your University User ID

and Password• When you want to download or open an article you

may be prompted to enter your Athens Account

• Access e-books using the Library Catalogue

What is the Document Delivery Service

• We will try to obtain copies of articles for you if they are not available within our electronic subscriptions

• We will photocopy from our own stock and fax or post it to you• We will request documents from the British Library

through Inter-Library Loan
