Soviet period, and it is still widely spoken by the ethnic Russians.

• More than half the people can speak two languages.

They just started using this type of money in 1996.

Traditional Costumes

On holidays people wear traditional costumes to perform dances and songs.

Professional men wear suits and hats. Women wear skirts and dresses. In the winter they wear sweaters, coats, and scarves on their heads.
