The National Security issue no one is talking about!

So this is where you grew up... What happened Grandpa?

The U.S. has lost over 40% of it’s ranchers, 90% of it’s hog farmers and 80% of it’s dairymen in the last 30 years.

“Fast food has hastened the mauling of our landscape, widened the chasm between rich and poor, fueled an epidemic of obesity, and propelled a juggernaut of American cultural imperialism abroad.”

The Dark Side of the All American Meal

Industrial food is killing us…

You’re eating badly!

You’re lifespan will be shorter than your parents.

•Two-thirds of America's adults are overweight or obese

•As many as 30 percent of U.S. children are overweight

•Childhood obesity has more than doubled within the past 25 years

•Within the past 20 years, childhood diabetes has increased 10-fold

Americans' life expectancy already falls more than 20 years behind other developed countries; and with U.S. obesity rates on a steady incline, the years may be further trailing.

It was an interesting experiment, and for a short time provided hope to mankind, until the government was taken over by corporate interests.

“We’re in the dereg business.”Message from V.P. Bush to Monsanto executives while serving under President Reagan

WTOCorporate Controlled Globalization:

The greatest folly in human history!

“These guys [Tyson] are nothing but old-time gangsters, thugs and thieves. They beat your brains in with their market power and take your money.” January 12, 2004, Montgomery, AL-Associated Press quoting Mike Callicrate on opening day of IBP/Tyson trial

Corporate controlled globalization will destroy food security, self reliance, and reduce all food producing countries to third world status.- Mike Callicrate 2003

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." -- U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864 (letter to Col. William F. Elkins) Ref: The Lincoln Encyclopedia, Archer H. Shaw (Macmillan, 1950, NY)

Protectionism: The act of protecting. In global terms it means protecting ones country from ruin; avoiding policy, whether economic or political, that results in the economic and social destruction of a nation, its people and culture; preventing the concentration of power and wealth in the hands of a few global elites.

At the 2011 World Economic Forum in Switzerland, the director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Rajiv Shah, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEOs of Monsanto and other agribiz corps in support of GE crops. Sound sinister? That’s because it is.

U.S. looks to Monsanto to feed the world.

Or is the U.S. looking to feed Monsanto?

How are we going to feed the world?

Economic development vs.

Community Development

We cannot separate what we believe from how we act in the marketplace and the broader community, for this is where we make our primary contribution to the pursuit of economic justice.- U.S. Bishops 1986
