55+ Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is a combination of unconditional
laughter and yogic breathing which offers physiological
and psychological benefits. The hour would consist of a
serious of laughter and deep breathing exercises which
result in positive energy to help cope with the stress of
daily life and fosters a positive and hopeful
attitude. The program will held on Mondays from
11:00am – 12:00pm starting 21 October. Registration
will take place at the Hazen Centre with the
instructor. There is no charge for this program.
The Oromocto Fire Department You and your family are invited to attend an Open House which will be held on Thursday, 10 October 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station located at
50 Miramichi Road.
Events will include: Fire Equipment demonstrations, Inflatable Safety House, Fire Truck Show and Shine,
Games for Children, Safety Handouts and many more activities.

October is Canadian Libraries Month and we are celebrating with a “GHOULISH GRAB!” For those not afraid of the unknown, grab a book cloaked in mystery to take home and read.
Oct 1 SANDMAN STORYTIME is a 30-minute evening story time that is held each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. The whole family will enjoy stories, rhymes and lots of fun. No registration is required for this drop-in program. Oct 11 BROWSE & BRUNCH will be held at 9:00am for the over fifty crowd. Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
Oct 11 A BLACK LIGHT THEATRE WORKSHOP #1 will be held at 3:30pm for tweens ages 11-14 years. This is the first of four workshops and will focus on costume making and preparation for the production. Please call the library at 357-3329 to register.

In an effort to divert the volume of waste materials from the landfill, the Town of Oromocto will offer a leaf curbside collection of all residential households.
Acceptable Materials
Leaves ONLY in clear polyethylene plastic bags of 1.5 ml thickness with a maximum capacity of 55 litres
securely tied at the top and not exceeding 20 kg (44 lbs) per bag.
Please do not place leaves at curbside in advance of the 4 November and not after the 15 November collection period.
Yard waste can also be taken to the Fredericton Region Solid Waste Commission (1775 Alison Blvd.)
