MANUEL CAREAGAROTARY YOUTH STUDENT EXCHANGE

Manuel is part of the Rotary Youth Student Exchangefor the 2018-19 school year. He is f rom Guasave,Sinaloa, Mexico. He celebrated his 16th bir thdaywhi le here in Ohio. Manuel is an excel lent student,speaks Engl ish very wel l and loves sports—he is alsoan accompl ished saxophone player. Whi le here, hehas at tended St. Francis High School as a Junior. Pr ior to Manuel 's arr ival he said “My best wishes tomy future fami ly! I can’ t wai t to meet you and I thankyou for let t ing me be part of your fami ly!” He wi l lshare how he has become part of the Sheehan Family. Jeff AndersonToledo Club

Born and raised in Garden City, a west suburb ofDetroit 30 minutes east of Ann Arbor. Grew upworking at Dearborn Country Club through highschool, for my father who was the facilities,maintenance manager. Attended The School ofHotel Restaurant and Institutional Management(Now Hospitality Business). Right out of MSU Jeff was the Assistant GeneralManager at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak,located in the Northern suburbs of Detroit. Afterfour years at Red Run, he was recruited to theYondotega Club, a very exclusive Blue BloodPrivate Club in Downtown Detroit as the Club'sManager. After a very successful four years at thehelm of the Yondotega, he and his wife Jackiemoved to Traverse City where Jeff was theGeneral Manager of the Traverse City Golf andCountry Club. Jeff joined Rotary and the TraverseBay Sunrise Rotary Club in 2000 and wasPresident of the Club during Rotary's CentennialYear. They started their family (Carly & Brady) inTC and lived there for 16 years and then moved toHarbor Springs, Michigan to accept the role asCOO/GM of Birchwood Farms Golf & CountryClub. While in Harbor Springs he transferred hisRotary membership to the Petoskey SunriseRotary Club. This past January Jeff accepted the position ofGeneral Manager at The Toledo Club and islooking forward to being a Toledo Rotarian.
