World’s Largest Living Tree

General Sherman a Giant Sequoia. Sequoiadendron giganteum

Considered the largest organism, as measured by the volume of its trunk (1487 cubic meters as of 2002).

The tree is located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park in the United States, east of Visalia, California.

The tree is believed to be approximately 2200 years old

Traveler’s Tree

This tree grows like a giant open fan relative of the Banana tree.

It is said .... If a traveler stands directly in front of a Traveler's Tree and makes a wish in "good spirit" - that wish will definitely come true!

The name derives from the fact that a stem can be cut and the water inside can be drunk, hence good for thirsty travelers who need refreshment
