General KnowledgeLaunched in 1797, the U.S.S Constitution was the first ship

commissioned by the United States Navy.Builder was Edmund Hartt Shipyard, the same shipyard who built

USS Boston, USS Argus, and USS Independence. The USS Constitution cost the U.S Navy $302,718 (1797 dollars) It’s well known as the “Old Ironsides”The USS Constitution served in the Quasi war, First Barbary War,

and the War of 1812.450 officers and enlisted, including 55 Marines and 30 boysHomeport: Charlestown Navy Yard

Characteristics of USS ConstitutionLength of the boat: 204 ft (62 m) at waterline its 175 feet

(53 m).

Speed: 13 knots (24 km/h; 15 mph)

Beam: 43 ft 6 in (13.26 m)Propulsion: three masts, or also know ship rig.

Quasi WarQuasi War was the war between French Republic and the U.S.

The USS Constitution was the main service of the war under

Lieutenant Isaac Hull, who captured the French privateer Sandwich

in the harbor and spiked the guns in the Spanish fort.

First Barbary WarThe First Barbary War (1801–1805), also known as the

Barbary Coast War or the Tripolitan War, was the first of two

wars fought between the United States of America and the

North African Muslim states known collectively as the

Barbary States.

The USS Constitution did not play a major role in the war,

the USS Constitution just went to a few sea battles.

The war of 1812The War of 1812 was a military conflict fought between the forces of

the United States of America and those of the British Empire. The

Americans declared war in 1812 for a number of reasons, including a

desire for expansion into the Northwest Territory, trade restrictions

because of Britain's ongoing war with France.

One of the most famous battles that the USS Constitution fought with

the HMS Guerriere and was very victorious. This was

important ,because it heart the British Navy.

Does USS Constitution really deserve its fame and reputation? For All those famous battle that USS

Constitution fought I think the USS Constitution deserve its fame and reputation.

ThemeI think my project fits the theme of Challenge

because United states has the challenge of building a strong navy or even organize a navy.
