PROJECT PROPOSAL
General information
Dash for Impact 2013
Project title: TRASH AGAIN
Name of implementing group: UNKNOWN
Project location: Schools, Photocopy stores, pharmacies are three main ones
Proposed starting date: 14/10/2013
Project duration: 1 month
Body of Project Proposal
1. Background It provides a description of the specific problem(s) the project is trying to solve, in order to “make a
case” for the project. Furthermore, the project proposal should point out why a certain issue is a
problem for the community or society as a whole.
It’s unevitable that we live with paper everyday. Going to school, use paper. They
are everywhere, every corner in this world. They help, and also make noises.
We obliviously think that they are daily parts in our life, but look, this
environment is being polluted. We volunteer to do a lot, we promote for a club,
even an environmental one, we use paper to make posters. And we need a lot of it
to make everyone know about our activity.
In my class, I researched and found something crazy. We have at least 4 lessons a
day and each one we must use at least two pages in our notebook. Our class has
39 members and our school has about 1500 students. 19 millions students go to
school in Vietnam this year.

( This photo was taken when Khoa- a member picked up 28 sheets of paper after his morning class)
But does anybody know that how much does it cost to make paper? Vietnam only
produce about two-thirds of the sheets Vietnamese people need everyday. People
have to pay extra money and it’s not so small abundance!
Well it is really annoying, right?
2. Goal & Objective Project goal (or overall objective)
This is one general aim that should explain what the core problem is and why the project is important,
i.e. what the long-term benefits to the target group are.
Nowadays, there exists one problem that too much paper and empty boxes and
bottles are thrown away. The amount of them increasing fast leads the fact that
the area for trash is expanding while the area for people is narrowed. Moreover,
paper, boxes, bottles used have many long-term benefits such as being material to
make handmade things, make notebooks and drafts for students who need
them,… The project aims at reducing wasted paper, bottles and boxes by
recycling them. In other words, they are made for another use. By this way, much
trash can be tremendously reduced.

of increasing amount of rate and the importance of reducing it into the
environment
o Give everybody the opportunity to show their love to the environment
o Help people reduce the amount of waste such as papers, bottles, plastic
into the environment by reusing, recycling, making handmade things,...
Then, we will make the environment cleaner and greener
